23/11/15

.
Glenbrows Trademark JW Glenbrows Picture Me Now
14/09/15
and still good news! the home team continue to excel in the show ring. Health test results, our stunning G Trademark has now been health tested; eyes clear G&HC, hip score (6:7) 14, and his kennelmate G Memoir eyes clear too, HC & G hip score (6:8)14, both well below the breed average. Memoir's brother the effervescent Glenbrows Manifesto JW can now add the title of Swedish Show Champion to his name, as can his new kennelmate Glenbrows Sonnet- - two Glenbrows Swedish show champions in the hands our our good friend Per Aschan, Kennel Twinkle .
Our welsh puppies are growing into beautiful puppies, and we have exciting plans for Sh Ch Tribute and Int Ch Portrait!
Cavalaier wise, we hope for all four colour puppies late October, from two of our homebred girls, Tilly and Daisy, fingers crossed.
11/8/15
THE GOOD NEWS CONTINUES! NGA , with David Howarth centre stage, Sh Ch G Picture This tops the veteran males, his grandson our stunning young G Trademark wins post graduate dog, our dual CC winning G Future Romance won a huge limit class and added anothe Res CC to her tally, and Daniel entered the ring with his own G Memoir, and gained a very rrespectable 3rd. It has been some while since Dan agreed to show a dog, following a very negative experience under an older judge earlier this year who was very rude and discourteous; she should know better and behave in a more befitting way, every breed needs youngsters coming through! Thankfully we have an abundance of kind people in this breed to counteract the minority!
Bournemouth Champ show, Trademark continued his winning ways, whilst Honor and the boys stayed at home with the new born G Beside Me litter, next week we find out if G Poetry is to be a mother!
29/7/15
Catch up time again; Blackpool Championship Show saw Mr D Shields as our judge, the day started well with the debut of Maria Dobbie's Rockypoint Scoth Mist winning both puppy dog classes, he is sired by G Manifesto JW ex G Secret for R JW. The day continued with you G Trademark JW winning a good post graduate class, he was the youngest in the class by a good margin, his grandad, Sh CH G Picture This JW then won veteran dog and the Res CC, very gratifying as some years ago, the same judge awarded Luka one of his many CC & BoB, the dog CC on this occasion stille dstayed within the family as the Sh Ch G Timelord JW ShCM son Sh Ch Ferndel Justin Time added to his tally.
Leeds Championship show saw gundog specialist Mr K Young take control, his Best of Breed winner after collecting his 1st CC was our young Glenbrows Trademark JW, just out of junior we are thrilled with the success Marcus is having! This win was special too, as the last time he judged, Mr Young awarded the CC & BoB to our very beautiful Sh Ch G Tribute JW, his mum!!
WSS Puppy news, we are delighted to confirm that the stunning CC winner ( and CC producer!) G Beside Me JW is due to whelp her 2nd litter early August, the sire to be is Amiro Wind from the Hills, a lovely dog in every way, in fact, we are so impressed with him, that the exquisite G Poetry JW has also just been mated to him! fingers crossed!
22/6/15
Superb day at Border Union Championship Show, awarding CC for the first time in the UK, Swedish Breed Specialist Ola Erikson certainly judged to type. Our young male G Trademark, in his first adult class, won the class and then went on to be awarded the Res CC. The dual CC winning G Future RomanceJW earned herself a respectable 2nd in a line up of CC winning bitches, but the star of the day, proving she is as evergreen as her sire, the wonderful Sh Ch G Picure This, our incredibly beautiful Sh Ch G Tribute JW was awrded her 10th CC and then Best of Breed! To say we were delighted is an understatement.
We alsdo need to report that our beautiful CCR, Lara, our home protector is now officially known as Sh Ch Brightmeadow Sweet Charity for Glenbrows, being awarded all her CCs from breed specialists too. Anyone who knows La appreciates how much this meansd to us, as La really finds the show ring terribly boring! Our hearfelt thanks to Jayne, Honor's twin sister to piloting Lara to this win.
We have a super male wss puppy availalbe to a suitable home, ideally someone with experience of showing the breed, and hopefully some exciting news concerning our lovely G Beside Me JW soon.
29/4/15
Apologies for the lack of recent updates, a sudden and close family bereavement has meant that our priorities has been elsewhere of late. However, we finally have some good news to share; following the disappointment of Ginny not being in whelp, our lovely Zoe, a daughter of Sh Ch Tribute and G Paper Dragon is expecting her 1st litter shorlty to the ever optimisit G Manifesto JW, both Zoe and Bobby have full clear eye cert and hip scores of 9. Further to that, we have a litte rof wholecolour cavlaiers due too, from our wonderful little Hettie.
The show season is now in full swing, Trademark has continued with his winning ways, Crufts & WELKS, Future Romance JW added anothe Res CC to her tally, now sitting on 2 CC and 5 res CC! Sh Ch Picture This JW ShCM has had 2 wins in his 1st two veteran appearances , including Best veteran in show at the NEWSSC Championship show.
19/1/15
A pleasing start to the new show year at manchester Championship Show, the youngsters Glenbrows Trademark and Glenbrows Memoir both winning classes, the bonus too only 30 minutes from home! We have made the decision as to which puppy stays at home, looking forward to the summer when Glenbrows Firecracker will join the show team, Callum has named him Jacob! Exciting times too, hopefully, as the lovely Glenbrows Future Hope anticipates the birth of her first litter early March to the handsome young CC winning male Shandwick Promise.
16/12/14
The end of show season, the last show of the year, LKA and I managed to show Marcus myself! although Dan stood ringside watching nervously....., delighted that Marcus won his first adult class at just 12 moths and a week.
The year has again been a very successful one for us, Rainman taking his title, Picture This proving that he still is amongst the best, veteran classes nex tyear, Future Romance & Secret being awarded CCs, and Manifesto his JW. Our males have become the father of champions here and overseas, well done to their owners/breeders.
Our delightful little cavaliers continue to make us smile and we have had some beautiful pupppies this year, not least Callum's stunningly handsome ruby JJ, a true and fitting legacy to our late Johnny, Cal also has a new baby ruby girl, Cherry and 2 black and tan littermates Nancy & Grace born late October.
Our WSS girls have been quite on the puppy front until late 2014, the litter by Manifeston ex Temptation are indeed tempting...... and our Mabel (Int Ch Portrait) has safely delivered her first litter, all boys, but we hope to have her son in the ring late next year. I am also very pleased to say that Mabel will be staying home at Glenbrows. Mabel has always held a special place in my heart, and letting her spend time abroad with Lidewij was a very difficult decision to come to, but much as Lidewij and Mabel loved each other, Mabel has always been a daddy's girl, very much like her sisters Tribute & Beside Me, and so she is to stay at home. Honor and I would like to record here our thanks to Lidewij and her family for all that they have done for Mabel, and although the decision in tinged with a little sadness for Lidewij, we all agreed Mabel's wellbeing has to be put first. This though is not the end of our colaboration, there will be at some point a Glenbrows puppy living with Lidewij, and this time it will be for keeps! The puppy will be a permanent part of their family. Breeding and showing dogs is a funny old hobby, and I am afraid I just don't understand those breeders who send their adults all over the globe, they are part of us and our family, and all three of us have agreed, not matter how good our friendship, we could not do it again, the parting is too painful.....never mind the grief we get from Daniel & Callum! Without our dogs, we are are just not us, and although the early morning, late nights and poop scooping are trying at times, we wouldn't really change it!
We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful and Happy New Year!
25/11/14
Quite a lot to update, apologies for this, but injury & illness ( human not canine !) has resulted in the delay.
The first litter of WSS born at home this year have arrived today, sired by the young male Manifesto, ex the beautiful G Temptation, sister to Sh Ch Tribute & Timelord, and hence very similar breeding to G Trademark & G Truth about Aindrea.
Manifesto is currently taking time out of the ring, but his sister, G Memoir has been a consistent winner, topping hotly contested classes at SEWSSC; Midland Counties; GSOW & GBAS Championship shows.
Our 11 month male Trademark , handled by our 12 year old son, Daniel has been awarded BPIS SEWSSC ; BPIB Midland Counties & GBAS Championship Shows, the photo below was taken ringside at GBAS, Nov 14 of Dan with Marcus.
Not to be outdone, his sister , the beautiful G Truth about Aindrea was BPIS at the NofE WSSC Autumn show. They are sired by Sh Ch G Rainman ex Sh Ch G Tribute
Our stunning G Future Romance JW was awarded her 2nd CC at Midland Counties Championship show, and her elder sister the wonderful Sh Ch G Tribute added to her tally of wins at GBAS by being awarded the Res CC, again piloted by Dan! A lot of long distance telephone calls that day from a very excited Daniel, received by an even prouder Dad! Honor and I are so very proud and would like to thank you for all your kind words and comments over Dan showing our dogs. Callum was much happier styaing at home in the warm!
19/9/14
Some excellent news to update regarding our young G Manifesto, Bobby, he can now be known as Glenbrows Manifesto JW gaining his last point needed to qualify for this award, an award he completed in just over 12 weeks of being shown! A busy week for Bobby as he has mated his first bitch too, puppies hoped for in November. A busy month for us as we hope for black/tan cavalier babies too, a first litter for little Tilly, a daughter of our Eddie. Both parents fully health tested.
2/9/14
This past weekend saw one of the welsh springer world highlights, The Welsh Springer Spaniel Club Championship Show. The elected judges this year were breed specialists Ruth Waller (d) and Catherine Dodds (b).
The entry was topped by our wonderful senior boy, Sh Ch Glenbrows Picture This JW ShCM being awarded his 15th CC and BEST IN SHOW!! This was Luka's second appearance of the year, and his 2nd CC, and the 2nd time he has been awarded Best in Show at the club show.
We fielded a full team at the event, and many other Glenbrows bred dogs acquited themselves well, our home team results
Sh Ch G Picture This JW ShCM 1st open dog, CC& best in show
Glenbrows Future Romance JW 1st Limit bitch & Res CC
Sh Ch Glenbrows Tribute to Weslave JW 1st open bitch
Glenbrows Manifesto 1st Junior & Novice dog (1st Junior dog City of Birmingham Ch show the day after too!)
Glenbrows Trademark 1st Puppy dog 2nd MP dog (1st place sired by G Falcon)
Glenbrows Memoir 2nd novice bitch (1st outign handled by our 12 year old son Daniel)
Glenbrows Poetry JW 2nd PG bitch in the co-ownership of Sue Taylor, with help from Dan!
added to this exciting news from Lidewij where her home bred team sired by Sh Ch Picture This & Sh Ch G Timelord had an excelent time in Luxemburg, adding mor etitles to their tally.
We now await Glenbrows Beside Me JW and Int Ch Glenbrows Portrait coming into season, happy to discuss enquiries for show homes for future puppies.
12/8/14
It is with great pleasure that we announce that our wonderful senior boy, Sh Ch Glenbrows Picture This JW ShCM entered the show ring again yesterday and was awarded his 14th CC from breed specialist Kay Bryant. As Luka approaches the start of his veteran career next spring, he might make one or two more selct appearances before then!
To date that makes 4 home bred CC winners this year so far, 4 Glenbrows boys have sired CC winners this year too, and 4 different Glenbrows owned/bred girls have produced CC winners too
Luka's nephew the wilful Glenbrows Manifesto ended his puppy career on a high, BPIB at Paignton and BPD at National Gundog, many thanks to judges Ann Moon & Jane Howarth respectively. Bobby has also been health screened this past week, eyes all clear G & HC and hips look good too! His litter sister the delightful Glenbrows Memoir will be shown soon for the first time, piloted by Daniel our 12 year old son.
We wait patiently for the welshie girls to comer into season, and are happy to talk to people about our plans, our cavaliers however have been far more productive and next week should see the arrival of our next 5th generation of homebred wholecolour puppies.
30/6/14
Windsor Championship Show yesterday, a beautiful setting and perfect weather. Our young Glenbrows Manifesto was first up, and again, at only his 3rd show he was awarded Best Puppy dog, very much the clown Bobby loves to show off! His elder half brother, Sh Ch Glenbrows Rainman topped the male entry and was awarded his 4th CC, the res CC winner a top winning son of our very own Sh Ch Glenbrows Timelord JW Sh CM; the bitch CC winner too was a Timelord daughter, the award for Best of Breed again going to Rainman. Our judge for the day, spaniel specialist Elaine Thomas, incidently Elaine also awarded Timelord one of his many Best in Shows many years ago, Timelord & Rainman are cousins, Rainman & Manifesto half brothers from the same dam, thank you for judging to type!
Our blenheim cavalier Florrie, is due to whelp this week, this will be the first litter of blenheim puppies we will have bred since Florrie herself was born 2.5 years ago.
19/5/14
Wow! the 8th Glenbrows UK Champion was crowned yesterday with Mrs G Jill-Davis awarded Glenbrows Rainman his 3rd CC along with Best of Breed, at not yet 2 years of age we are thrilled to be able to report that Thomas will be known as Sh Ch Glenbrows Rainman JW from now on! To make this special day even more memorable, young Rosie, Glenbrows Secret with Rockypoint, owned and shown by Marai Dobbie, won junior bitch, thus completing her JW and then was awarded the bitch CC! The third Glenbrows WSS to be awarded a CC this year so far. A long day but so worth it!
12/5/14
what a busy weekend! Our beautiful little Esme has produced our 5th generation of homebred cavalier puppies, and is loving every minute of being a mum! We are pleased to say that we have our next ruby girl in the whelping box!!
Birmingham National Championship show, a local one for us, saw breed specialist Sandra Bell take centre stage. Young Rainman JW was placed 1st in a large quality Limit class, as was G Poetry JW after an absence of 7 months from the ring, but the star of the day was our stunning GFuture Romance JW, Poppy, who topped the Post graduate bitch class and then was awarded the bitch CC! Many thanks to the judge and fellow exhibitors for your kind words of congratulations.
28/4/14
Sorry for the absence of news lately, always manage to find something else to do!
To start, our young Glenbrows Rainman JW has been awarded his 2nd CC and BOB @ WELKS, thanks to spaniel specialist Mr G Griffiths. The girls also have been having a fun time, Both G Future Hope & Future Romance JW adding to their list of championship show 1sts, the latter being awarded the Res CC at the WSSCSW Championship Show by breed specialist Miss G Tully. Our baby G Magician has made a pleasing start to his show career too!
Waiting in the wings for the summer season are Glenbrows Trademark & Glenbrows Truth, son and daughter of our wonderful Sh Ch Tribute, who has been confirmed as the WSSC Top WSS Bitch 2013! Not bad when she has taken time out for maternity duties too! The sire of these being Glenbrows Rainman JW.
We have no plans presently for WSS puppies until the autumn, but wait for our 5th generation of homebred cavalier puppies due next month, fingers crossed all goes well.
24/1/14
Wow! what a way to start the show year, our young male Glenbrows Rainman JW was entered in limit dog on sunday last, Manchester Championship Show, a high class for such a tender age (joys of clicking the wrong button when entering on line!!), however gundog specialist judge Dr R James placed him 1st in a strong class, Tom then went on to win the Dog CC!! his lap of honour made even more special because once agian, Best Puppy Dog was Glenbrows Paper Money for Gilpeta. The day was finished off by Tom being awarded Best of Breed and then shorlisted in the gundog group by Mr Per Iveson, one of his top 8 dogs from a total entry of over 2,500 gundogs. These wins were even more pleasing as both judges had previously awarded our dogs CC's- consistency in judging to type.
At home, the rather special puppies sired by Tom from our very beautiful Sh Ch G Tribute are starting to leave for their new homes, but Glenbrows Trademark; Truly & Truth aka Marcus, Ellie & Rose will be staying put for a while!
The long awaited litter of parti coloured cavaliers sired by the outstanding male and sire Maibee Perfect Touch of Charnavale are due any day now, and Honor can hardly contain her excitement as the first ever litter of Glenbrows ESS from a homebred girl are due too this week; our liver & white daughter of Sh Ch Mompessom Royal Destiny, Glenbrows Hearsay, is heavily in whelp to the top ESS male of 2013, the liver tri Sh Ch/Ir Ch Meadowdale Banjo JW. The busy times continue, but the hardwork is all worthwhile, a lifestyle choice aided by our boys.
1/1/14
Happy New Year!
To reflect on the past year, once again with great pride and affection our dogs have done us proud, the show ring successes are all noted, but their true success lies in their willingness to demonstrate unconditional love and affection, loyality and protection at home. We've had some sad times too, undoubtedly the loss of Johnny has left us all saddened, especially Callum, but it also allows us to rejoice in the fact that as dog breeders, we never really loose all of them, just to look at Esme reaffirms that! The boys have continued to be part of the story, Daniel now having his own separate interest in the Glenbrows affix, and his first bred PRT puppy, Glenbrows Puzzle will hit the rings (proabably quite literally in Kate's case) this coming spring! Callum was thrilled to bits that his WSS G Future Hope has had a cracking year in the ring, many rossettes have gone into school, and I even got paid a £1 handling fee- that I was told to put back into my pot!!
We look forward to our 2013 youngsters being shown in the higher classes, and as such our established champions will spend more time relaxing, making appearances on special occassions!
Maybe the end of this month will see the delivery of a very special litter of cavalier puppies , fathered by the top sire inthe UK, fingers crossed.
Sh Ch Tribute has a rather lovely litter of December puppies, Honor says I cant' keep 3!!!! but defnately 2 are staying at home. Our new boy, Zack, G Magician will meet you in the ring from February, a nephew of Picture This, he is so like Luka in many ways, espeically his character!
Arguably one of the most successful kennels again, 2013 saw;
Sh Chs Picture This, Timelord & Tribute all be awarded further CCs & BOB
Res CCs awarded to the home aniamls Rainman; Poetry;Future Romance;Future Hope and owned by others Band of Brothers & Dancing Dragon. Junior Warrants were completed by Future Romance, Rainman & Paper Money.
Mabel became Int Ch Glenbrows Portrait in the capable hands of Lidewij Harmsen, however, Mabel is now firmly back at home in the Derbyshire countryside and loving every minute of being with her 'English' family, we all had plans of motherhood, she, however she clearly has other ideas as no sign of being in season, maybe the UK show ring beckons!
25/11/13
The Welsh Springer Spaniel Club Open Show this Saturday just gone, super entry for judge elect breed specialist Ola Erikson (Kennel Geltmans).
Peter & Gill Johnstone's Glenbrows Paper Money for Gilpeta _ Best Puppy Dog & Best Puppy in Show and hence completing his Junior Warrant, we are so proud of young Josh and so thrilled for them with this first major milestone. Josh is Home bred on both sides of his pedigree for many generations, which makes his success even more special.
Marai Dobbie's Glenbrows Secret at Rockypoint, once again was Best Puppy Bitch and added to her impressive JW tally after only 5 weeks of being shown, Rosie is also homebred on both sides of her pedigree, with a little help from our Dutch friends of course!!
Our own top winning Glenbrows Rainman JW won the junior dog class and was awarded Res Best Dog. The sisters Glenbrows Future Romance JW & Future Hope won special yearling and post graduate bitch classes respectively, with Future Hope being awarded Best Bitch & ultimately Best in Show, not yet 2 years of age, we are thrilled to bits with their progress, always hard with 2 animals of the same age both girls have already won Limit classes at championship shows, Ginny's latest beign GBAS Ch show under specialist Suzanne Backhouse.
Photos hopefully to follow soon.
On the home front, we now wait patiently for the puppies from our beautiful Sh Ch Tribute, and our little cavalier Josie too! Finally our tri cavalier girl Daisy is in season and is due to be mated this week to the Top Sire 2013 Maibee Perfect Touch of Charnvale, fingers crossed for that ever elusive tri girl!
Int Ch Glenbrows Portrait still not in season,....... although we do have a rather smart young man from her dam G Please Please Me JW, sired by Rainman JW, really should look to find hima home where he will be shown, have enough boys with Luka, Theo, Tom and young Zack!
28/10/13
Well, what a couple of weeks to catch up on! Our dogs have had an amazing time in the ring of late. Starting with South Wales KA, G Band of Brothers for Benovoer JW ShCM added a Res CC to his collection of awards, G Paper Money was again BPD and G Poetry JW also won her class.
Unfortunately we were unable to attend GSOW Championship show due to other commitments, however the Glenbrows boys owned by other exhibitors did us proud, G Paper Money, G Falcon & G Dancing Dragon all collected red cards, plus the latter being awarded his first Res CC! The bitch Res CC winner also sired by a Glenbrows male.
The South Eastern WSSC Champions hip followed that weekend, G Paper Money again BPD, the girls all won their classes, on her debut, entered in our name, but expertly piloted by her new owner of 3 weeks, Marai Dobey, G Secret won all 3 of her classes, automatically was BPB and topped the entry of puppies to be BPIS! Sh Ch G Tribute JW was awarded her 9th CC, her younger sister G Future Romance JW the Res CC, G Future Hope won graduate bitch & G Beside Me JW ( the dam of Secret) won mid limit bitch, ehat a day 4 homebred bitches in the challenge!! The wins forthe girls were made even more special in that they were awarded by leading Gundog specialist Carole Coode, who a couple of years ago awarded their father, Sh Ch G Picture This JW SHCM one of his many CCs & BOB.
Midland Counties Ch Show yesterday, thankfully very close to home, saw G Rainman JW, G Future Hope & her sister G Future Romance all win their classes under breed specialist Jan Rees.
7/10/13
The last week has been one of mixed emotions, with some very happy news and very sad news here.
The good news, G Rainam JW went to his first Gundog open show as an adult, he topped the breed entry with Best of Breed and then was awarded Reserve Best in Show! Many thnaks to both judges. Our ESS G Hearsay was also awarded BOB too.
The following day, Martha, our lovely chocolate labrador delivered her second litter without any fuss, so now we have a repeat mating by Rocheby Gamekeeper of delightful black and chocolate babies.
The sad news, our wonderful little ruby cavalier dog Johnny, was given sleep 4/10/13, to end his fight against an agressive tumor. Many thanks to our vet Stuart Brown for his honesty and pragmatic guidance in this matter. The cancer was diagnosed early in the summer, it was inoperable. He told us to enjoy our time with Johnny, and we would know when the time came; how right he was. Johnny had a wonderful last summer with us, and we are so greatful that we have his daughters and grand daughters with us, and although we can not replace him, his character and traits live on in them, especially Esme. The pain and suffering gathered momentum this last week, and thankfully we can give our animals the dignity and release from pain we cant afford our relatives. My apologies that Johnny is still listed onour site, I can't quite bring myself to press the delete button yet. We have more dogs than most families, but they are just that, family, and when one passes they take just a little bit of you with them, a trip to Dovedale will not be the same without my little mate; sleep well my little sunshine.
Thankfully, we had something really positive to enjoy over the weekend, Multi Champion Glenbrows Portrait, 'Mabel' is home! Mabel walked through the door on saturday, as if she had just been for a walk, she is delighted to be with her first family again, all our home dogs are pleased to have her back as of course are we! She is home, a little later than we intended, to produce her first litter on home ground before she continues in her exploration and captivation of Europe, I am sure Lidewij will be checking daily to see if Mabel is in season yet! An incredible animal who loves life to the full, the family is complete once more.
25/9/13
The summer is over; and what a grand time we've had! The home team have had a few weeks off from the show scene as the boys of gone back to school, settling in to their new routines. However, Glenbrows Paper Money for Gilpeta, son of Sh Ch Tribute has had a grand few weeks, another Best Puppy in Breed at Birmingham Championship Show, followed by Best Puppy in Show, Best Male and Res Best in Show at the WSSCSW Breed show, well done Gill and Josh!
Overseas, Lidewij and Mabel continue to storm to success. indeed when Mabel arrives home next week, we will be greeting back International Champion Glenbrows Portrait !!! so very proud and delighted with this news, Mabel taking her International title from an Intenational entry ! Mabel will be enjoying motherhood here at home before returning to her Dutch family in the spring .
We have made the decision as to which puppies from the superb litter from G Past Magic are staying at home, Zac & Jilly will have their photos added soon. We must express our thanks to Shelagh and Gil Tolliday for allowing Wes' proving litter here at Glenbrows, Ferndel Comander of Bethersden I think will be visiting us again!!
16/8/13
Wow, where to begin!
A great time with our dogs of late, firstly Lidewij continues to captivate Europe with the exquisite Ch Glenbrows Portrait, winning Best in Show at the Belgium spaniel championship show, her litter sister G Poetry has added another res CC to her collection, their mother the beautiful G Please Please Me is hopefully in whelp to our young male G Rainman JW.
In her last junior class, G Future Hope topped the class but also was awarded the res CC, so pleased I was speechless!
Sh Ch G Tribute, is I think the current top WSS in the UK, having thus far been awarded 2 CC (with BOB) and 3 res CCs this year to bring her current total to 8 & 13 respectively! Her sire our evergreen Sh Ch G Picture This JW ShCM has made his outing this year, being awarded his 13th CC (along with BOB), he has now been awarded CCs over an amazing 4 year period.
The children of Tribute are also starting to make their presence known at their first couple of shows, exciting times ahead hopefully.
The litter from G Past Magic look superb, we are very pleased with the look of them to date; something for the future, having planned the litter for a girl, Kizzy has changed our plans having produced 6 boys!
To date, so far this year, 3 Glenbrows WSS have been awarded CCs in the UK and three of our youngsters have been awarded res CCs, and two Glenbrows bred puppies have been crowned Best Puppy in Breed, plus the second CC & BOB at National Gundog for our family protector, the CCR, our Lara, fingers crossed for no3 soon.
8/6/13
Quite a lot to catch up on!
The very beautiful Sh Ch Tribute has added yet another CC&BIS and a res CC to her collection, the exquisite Poetry JW also winning a star studded class at the NEWSSC Championship show.
Young Thomas, G Rainman, has completed his JW in fine style at 11 months of age, he is currently Top WSS Puppy in the UK, alrteady a ResCC winner, he attends his first show as an adult this coming weekend, just having turned 12 months today. We have just mated his mother, hoping for a bitch this time!!
28/4/13
Another month gone by, Sh Ch Tribute has been adding to her tally of awards, she was awarded the BCC & BIS at NEWSSC, and the res CC at WELKS; young Thomas, G Raiman was awarded BPIB at Untited Spaniel Association Open show, with a healthy entry, and then BPIB at WELKS Championship show, thank you to all the judges concerned, all breed specialists.
Our wss puppies, the first by Rob ex the young CC winning G Beside Me are really starting to take shape, have to say we are very pleased with them, keep picking the same dog, don't need another male but......
The cavalier puppies too are lovely, very impressed how the combination of Eddie & Josie has worked out, some stunning black & tan babies.
31/1/13
The first breed Championship show of the year, WSSC of South Wales, a lovley day, a true Welsh welcome and friendly atmosphere; delighted to report that as well as seeing several Sh Ch Timelord progeny winning top awards, that our young Glenbrows Rainman was declared Best Puppy in Show!
A wonderful telephone call from Lidewij brought the news that Mabel is now Luxemborg Champion Glenbrows Portrait JWW12 NJK 12 BelW 12!!!
Excellent news before Mabel will join us back at home for the summer to whelp her first litter (well, that's the plan anyway!!)
26/3/13
Good news in relation to health tests G Future Romance JW; G Future Hope & Red Robyn v Raamvliet all passed their eye tests, HC & G, hips look good too!
Our stunning Glenbrows Beside Me JW is due to whelp her first litter on the 9th April, and Joise our lovely little ruby cavalier is due to whelp her litter to Eddie a week later.
10/3/13
Well, Crufts has been and gone, but what a day, for the second consecutive year our lovely Glenbrows Timelord JW ShCM was awarded the Dog CC and Best of Breed! He now joins his father and sister in the gallery of Champions.
Our youngsters also had a good day; young Robyn was 2nd Puppy dog, Future Romance JW 3rd puppy bitch, Future Hope 3rd junior bitch and Best Puppy Bitch, Beside Me JW won a well filled limit bitch class, and Sh Ch Tribute, who had 7 week old puppies at home was 4th in a star studded open class. The success didn't end there, several youngsters sired by Luka & Theo owned by other exhibitors also won their classes and the bitch CC winner a daughter of our late Storyteller. Many thanks to all for your words of congratulations, they mean a great deal to us, and special thanks to judge, breed specialist Kathy Gorman for her praise of our dogs.
4/3/13
The week before Crufts! Glenbrows Rainman was entered at Coventry Gundog, under respected gundog specialist Di Arrowsmith he won a well filled puppy class and hence BPIB, later going a stage further when the same judge awarded him Best Puppy in Show! his second such award in a row!!

A long but enjoyable day yesterday at the SEWSSC championship show. Our Dutch import, Timelord's son Red Robyn v Raamvliet made his debut winning minor puppy dog, I think it is quite safe to say Rob made quite a stir! The sisters G Future Romance & Future Hope were again in the same 3 classes, this time Future Romance topped all 3- she now only need a few more points for her JW; but to make it even better, Future Hope stood 2nd to her sister in all 3 classes and 3rd place too was bred from one of our bitches, G Paper Dawn at Graygees!
Updated photos of Rob, Poppy and Ginny soon.

The following day at Birmingham City, Glenbrows Band of Brothers for Benoveor JW stormed into the ring to win Post Graduate dog, handled again by his co-owner Vicky Reynolds, who looked fantastic having only given birth to her fisrt daughter 2 weeks ago, way to go Jan & Vick! to add to this baby G Future Romance won puppy bitch, the 2nd place being sired by Timelord JW and the 3rd place by ex G Paper Dawn, a very gratifying class. A long but exciting weekend!

Thought we best add an update! Our new WSS puppies, Future Romance & Future Hope have both made excellent starts to their show careers, they will be joined later in the year by Robyn, our imported Timelord son, and Thomas, the male puppy we kept from G Past Magic.
The adult show team continue to clock up major wins and the youngsters Beside Me JW and Poetry JW will be making a return to the ring shortly following their summer break! Meanwhile G Portrait JWW12, continues with her run of success in Europe in the very capable hands of Lidewij Harmsen, we wish her continued success.
Our puppy plans for the autumn; we have a lovely litter of blenheim cavaliers due and hopefully a litte rof rubies sired by our little man Johnny. We do plan WSS puppies too, a litter by Sh Ch G Picture This JW ShCM from a young bitch bred in the same vein to Hope, the super mum! It is also our intention for Sh Ch Glenbrows Tribute JW to have her first litter over the winter, just need to decide on a suitable mate first!
